In a special segment on homeland security on November 4th, 2001, CNN explored the fractional aircraft alternative with James Butler. “We are all looking for peace of mind since September 11,” Butler noted. “The peace of mind we get from this service is that we know who is on the plane, we know what is in the luggage, we know who is flying the plane.” Moreover, Butler emphasized, “In today’s business world, these planes are like time machines. They make it more productive for executives to fly and do their business, to get to where they need to go, and that’s why people are turning to them as a great alternative to commercial air travel.”
